We are the Iota Mu Lambda Chapter (IML) of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. We serve the citizens of the greater Tacoma/Pierce County in the refreshing evergreen state of Washington. We welcome you to browse our website and explore our many local events and the community support efforts that the Brothers of the Tacoma Alphas are engaged in.
ACTIVITIES
The Brothers of Tacoma and the Greater Pierce County area are actively engaged in upholding the mission of our great Fraternity. We are consistently supporting the aims of Alpha, either mentoring at the Al Davies Boys & Girls Club, or feeding the homeless in the Tacoma area. We are positive you will concur that the Tacoma Alphas are viewed as a premier and positive element in our communuity.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
Partnering with our national partners at the March of Dimes, the Tacoma Alphas are dedicated in supporting those who are born prematurely or experience birth defects. Annually, our chapters raises funds to donate and participates in the South Puget Sound March for Babies.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Every fifth (5th) Sunday of the month, the Brothers of Iota Mu Lambda chapter partner with Urban Grace - The Downtown Church, to feed those who are homeless and regularly goes without food. Each fifth Sunday, you can find our chapter cooking and serving food.
MENTORING TOMORROW'S LEADERS
The Tacoma Alphas are dedicated to supporting and cultivating tomorrow's leaders. Every second Wednesday of the month, you can find Brothers of the Tacoma Alphas running our mentorship program in partnership with the Al Davie's Boys & Girls Club.
